The movie Liger seems to earn considerably good numbers according to the current box office scenario. The film collected Rs. 1.25 cr through its paid previews on Thursday. The numbers on Friday were roughly Rs. 4.25 cr. The numbers seem to be good for a Telugu dubbed film. The film witnessed a drop on Saturday and is estimated to have collected roughly Rs. 4.15 cr on Saturday. It’s shocking because mass films generally notice a drop on Saturdays. On Sunday, the film dropped once again because of the hyped India vs Pakistan match. However, it managed to collect around Rs. 3.60 cr net on Sunday. So it successfully packed Rs. 13.25 cr. in a weekend.
The major drop in this film was noticed on its first Monday when it collected Rs. 1.25 cr for the Hindi version. The drop on Friday was more than 60%, which is bad regardless of its collections.
The Monday drop will decide the fate of the film and it will end up doing a total Hindi business in the vicinity of Rs. 20 cr. The numbers seem to be poor, considering its release size.
Here is a breakdown of its collection-
Day 1 – Rs. 1.25 cr
Day 2 – Rs. 4.25 cr
Day 3 – Rs. 4.15 cr
Day 4 – Rs. 3.60 cr
Day 5 – Rs. 1.25 cr
The total collection is Rs. 14.50 cr.
The film was estimated at Rs. 90 cr. But according to the current scenario, this film will struggle to collect even Rs. 30 cr worldwide. The film proved to be a loss for its investors, especially in the Telugu states.
