Causeway Synopsis: What Is The Story About?
Lynsey (Jennifer Lawrence) is an IED engineer who returns to her home in New Orleans after braving an explosives-related accident in Afghanistan. She is accompanied by her caretaker while she attempts to recover her memory.
However, Lynsey is journey to recovery becomes more difficult when traces of her traumatizing childhood reach out to her. Lynsey, who shares a difficult relationship with her mother (Linda Emond), yearns to go back to her life as a soldier. But she must complete her recovery in order to do so.
She finds some respite from her turbulent life when her truck breaks down and she meets James Aucoin, who works at an auto repair shop. Lynsey and James’ journey starts when James offer to drop Lynsey to her house. Finally, Lynsey finds some peace in James’ company although without knowing that James himself is trying to make peace with his own conditions and trauma.
