Director Tanuj Chopra’s Delhi Crime: Season 2 reflects our society. The topics like caste divide, exploitation of minorities, rampant corruption, and unfortunate media trials are all involved in this season.
This show also deals with greed, ambition, patriarchy, sexism, challenges of the police force, and on the refreshing perspectives of the youth. They are also cleanly arranged in the story for the audience to understand.
Delhi Crime 2 features Shefali Shah, Rajesh Tailang, Anurag Arora, Tillotama Shome, Adil Hussain, Sidharth Bhardwaj, Rasika Dugal, Gopal Datt, and Denzil Smith.
The story revolves around DCP Vartika Chaturvedi and her team’s actions to solve the mystery around the horrible crimes that are occurring among the citizens. Unlike other crime dramas, this narrative is a bit slow for the viewers.
The writers Mayank Tewari, Shubhra Swarup, Vidit Tripathi, and Ensia Mirza have done an amazing job in this series. The outstanding dialogues of Delhi Crime 2 are written by Sanyuktha Chawla Shaikh and Virat Basoya.
Lines like, “Afterall we can’t police the lifestyle of the wealthy, nor the aspiration of the less privileged”, “Tum agar uthe nahin, toh jurm badhta jayega. Jurm Karne wala seena zor banta jayega”, or “Courage comes at a price” not just excites the viewer, but also makes them curious.
In Delhi Crime 2, Shefali Shah gives a very effective performance as DCP Vartika Chaturvedi. She has flawlessly portrayed the character’s vulnerability onscreen. Rasika Dugal is playing a very layered character, and her performance is sure to leave an impact. Tillotama Shome will be the surprise element of this show. Her acting skills are remarkably portrayed in this series. The rest of the cast also provided their able support.
