Plan A Plan B Ending Explained: Do Kosty and Nirali fall in love?

Plan A Plan B is a Hindi romantic comedy film starring Tamannaah Bhatia, Riteish Deshmukh, and Kusha Kapila. The film is directed by Shashanka Ghosh, known for Veere Di Wedding (2018) and Khoobsurat (2014).

Plan A Plan B follows Nirali, a matchmaker, and Kosty, a divorce lawyer, who are pitted against each other when they start working together in a co-working space.

With the two starting off on the wrong note, their opposing ideologies pave the way for laughable interactions. It’s only when they start knowing each other more, they realize that they are not that different either.

Plan A Plan B Story Summary

Nirali Vora (Tamannaah Bhatia), a psychologist by profession, is ready to take over her mother’s matchmaking business, which goes by the name Unique Matrimony. She believes that uniting people is a great deed.

Kaustubh Chougule (Riteish Deshmukh), a divorce lawyer who also goes by the nickname Kosty, stands on the opposite spectrum as he applies his skills to get couples separated. While Nirali executes the Plan A of most couples, Kosty executes Plan B. They have other differences too. Kosty loves dancing on one hand while Nirali can’t match one foot with the other.

Nirali and Kosty’s paths cross when Nirali moves to a co-working space located next to Kosty’s office. In his first meeting with Nirali, Kosty failingly attempts to cut a deal with her to get more clients for himself.

As Nirali and Kosty work next to each other, their problems with each other also keep increasing. Although Nirali is a matchmaker, she is herself single as she is unable to move on from her former lover Varun. On the contrary, Kosty refuses to divorce his wife Runjhun as he pretends that he wants her to suffer. In reality, he’s hopeful that things will improve between him and Runjhun.

Nirali meets Runjhun when Runjhun suddenly appears at Kosty’s office. Kosty avoids Runjhun, but Nirali decides to have a conversation with Runjhun, knowing more about his life.

After hearing Kosty and Runjhun’s story, Nirali thinks that they still have a chance. However, having lost hope, Runjhun asks Nirali to talk to Kosty. When Nirali does try talking to Kosty, another argument breaks between the two.

A few days later, Nirali gets drunk and calls out Kosty for not having the courage to break his own marriage. The next day, Kosty stumbles across Nirali’s mother and forms a great bond with her. Nirali’s mother invites Kosty to her 60th birthday celebration against Nirali’s wish. Kosty also volunteers to choreograph Nirali’s mother and her group of friends for the event. At Nirali’s mother’s insistence, Kosty and Nirali sign a truce to not fight until the celebration.

During the party preparations, Kosty meets Nirali’s brother Kabir, who informs Kosty that Nirali’s former lover Varun died due to a heart attack. At Kabir’s request, Kosty agrees to help find a match for Nirali. Meanwhile, Nirali is also persuaded to find someone for Kosty by his friend Girish.
