Good Luck Jerry follows Jerry who gets involved with a gang of drug peddlers as she struggles to find money to help her ailing mother.
Good Luck Jerry Story and Summary
Having lost her father pretty early, Jerry (Jhanvi Kapoor) lives with her mother, Sarbati (Mita Vashisht), and her sister, Cherry. Against the wishes of her mother, who runs a dumpling business, Jerry works in a massage parlour.
The family often gets disturbed by the self-proclaimed lovers of the three women including Jerry’s lover, Rinku (Deepak Dobriyal), and the nosy neighbour, Anil (Neeraj Sood), who loves Sarbati.
Things go downhill for the family when one day Sarbati is diagnosed with lung cancer, which would cost 25 lakh rupees to be treated.
While Jerry was struggling to find funds for her mother’s treatment, she comes across Jigar (Sahil Mehta), Timmy (Jaswant Singh Dalal), and Daddu, who approaches Jerry after a collision with Jerry leads to the arrest of one of their partners.
The trio forces Jerry to get some drugs hidden in their shop’s toilet, which was being guarded by the police. They believe that Jerry’s unsuspicious demeanour will help retrieve the drugs safely.
Although Jimmy successfully manages to retrieve the drugs, she attracts the fascination of Timmy. To find money to cure her mother, Jerry decides to approach Timmy, using the address on Jigar’s wallet, to become a drug carrier for him. Timmy agrees to give Jerry a job but not without a fair warning. Timmy also informs his boss Daler (Sushant Singh) about Jerry.
The next day, Jerry starts delivering the drugs given by Timmy to Malik. But Jerry’s success soon hits a roadblock when Timmy’s team member Joginder tips Inspector Lal about Jerry’s trip to Malik. Thanks to Timmy’s informer in the police, Jerry manages to escape without getting caught.
Scared of getting caught, Jerry shares her suspicions about someone being a rat in Timmy’s team. With Jerry’s help, Timmy finds out about Joginder and kills him in front of Jerry.
When Jerry attempts to relieve herself from her duties, an accident follows in which Timmy gets gravely injured after being pushed by Jerry.
When Jerry returns home, she finds Daddu and Jigar already there with their men. On a phone call, Daler threatens Jerry and asks her to deliver 100 kilos of cocaine the next day if she wishes to survive.
Sarbati, although furious with Jerry, gets ready to help her deliver the drugs to get her family out of the trouble. The neighbour, Anil, also joins the team to contribute. They plan to fake Sarbati’s illness in order to get the drugs delivered in a car prepared by Daler’s men.
The plan goes awry when Rinku appears and offers help to take Sarbati to the hospital.
Soon after, Jerry and her team leave in Rinku’s vehicle, and they are stopped by the police. But Sarbati’s sickness becomes the perfect way out for the group to get through the police checkpoints. Meanwhile, Daler orders Daddu to kill the family once the drugs are handed over to Malik.
Jerry surprises Rinku when she reveals to him their real plan to deliver drugs. Amidst Rinku’s panic attacks, Jerry and her team of amateurs deliver the drugs to Malik successfully.
Good Luck Jerry Ending Explained
To Malik’s surprise, Jerry delivers only 10 kilos of real cocaine, with the rest being salt. Malik threatens Daler and asks him to find the drugs. Jerry reveals to Daddu that she understands that her family will be safe as far as she has the drugs in her possession.
Jerry lures Daddu with the drugs. He plans to get the drugs from Jerry’s hand and tell Daler that Jerry ran off with the drugs. But Daddu is betrayed by Jerry as she had already informed Daler about Daddu’s intentions. Daler forces Jerry to kill Daddu.
Then, Daler asks Jerry to give him the drugs, but Jerry instead goes to Malik. First, she gives him powdered sugar. Later, when she’s compelled by Malik’s men, she leads Malik to her house to find the drugs, where he’s captured by Sarbati’s helpers.
On the other hand, Jerry continues her struggle with Malik’s henchman. While Jerry, Sarbati, and Cherry were beating up the guy, Inspector Lal manages to track down the group.
Inspector Lal, in order to catch Daler, forces Jerry to go to Daler’s hideout. Jerry agrees to comply to save her family. But Daler manages to outsmart Inspector Lal and captures all the policemen, along with Jerry and her family.
Just as Daler gets his hands on the drugs after threatening Jerry, Malik makes an appearance and disperses the crowd after shooting at them. Daler manages to calm down Malik. To Malik’s surprise again, he finds that the drug packets are filled with flour instead.
Did Jerry and her family manage to get to safety?
A shootout ensues between Malik and Daler’s gangs. In the chaos that follows, Malik and Daler are killed. The police catch Jigar and Timmy – the only surviving members apart from Jerry’s family and friends.
In the end, Inspector Lal attempts to arrest Jerry, giving up his promise. But Jerry, who worked in Inspector Lal’s wife’s massage parlour, reveals that she has placed the drugs inside his house.
With no way out of the situation, Inspector Lal lets Jerry and her family go.
